Shokugeki no Soma is entering the real world once again through the J-World theme park in Tokyo!
Starting October 21st, the theme park will be serving the latest dishes shown in Food Wars! Season 3.
That includes Terunori Kuga’s Mapo Tofu dish, Soma’s Home Pepper Rice Bun, and Etsuya Eizan’s Hainanaese Chicken Rice dish.
The creation of all these dishes were supervised by the culinary researcher for the Shokugeki No Soma series, Yuki Morisaki.
Here are the description of the dishes, provided by J-World:
Soma’s Home Pepper Rice Bun (780 yen):
Soma’s rice bun is made with wheat flour, and the meat-paste filling is made with ground beef fried in oyster sauce and ginkgo powder. When the meat-paste is placed into the rice bun, the entire bun is wrapped in a leek and baked.
Terunori Kuga’s Mapo Tofu (920 yen):
Kuga’s Mapo Tofu is made with a variety of spices described in Season 3 Episode 2 of the series. The real-life dish itself is said to be just as spicy as the anime’s version, with a fragrant pepper smell hovering over the silken tofu and umami’d-out ground beef.
Etsuya Eizan’s Hainanese Chicken Rice (920 yen):
Now Eizan’s Hainanese Chicken Rice dish will be a surprise for us who haven’t seen the latest episode yet.
The rice itself is cooked using chicken broth instead of just plain water. It will be partnered with some soft, tender chicken thigh cutlets, and garnished with some sliced cherry tomatoes, cucumber, and coriander. It also comes with three different dipping sauces to choose from; chili, ginger, and a dark soy sauce.
These dishes are, of course, only available for a limited time.
The Mapo Tofu is only available from October 21st to November 15th, whereas the Home Pepper Rice Bun and Hainanese Chicken Rice is available from October 21st to November 30th.
